There is dire need to educate people about environment balance. Earlier we did not bother about our environment and took it for granted.

Modern age is the age of science. We have conquered nature. Attention was paid to available and new resources because of explosion of population and explosion of knowledge.

Environment is a word which describes all the external factors, influences and conditions which affect the life, nature, behavior, growth and development and maturation of living organisms.

In the beginning, we had Vedas. The word "Veda" means knowledge. The Vedas are four-Rig, Yajur, Sam and Atharva. They contain hymns or Mantras.

Education fulfils the needs of society and propagates such ideas which promote social change in all fields of life.

A man is attracted towards region only when he is mentally, healthy and a sound mind is sides in a sound body. So it is the function of religion to co-operate in the physical development of children.

To give place to religion in education is not practicable, because children of all religions come to receive education in schools.

After the home, the child is exposed to the school which also influences him, for the school is nothing less than a miniature society to him.

Education is an important instrument to bring social revolution among all the instruments education is considered as the most powerful. Education for all, at all levels, and at all ages of children is the only remedy to bring about the desired social change in Indian society.

An evaluation of advantages and limitations of religious education leads us to be conclusion that religion should be given a place in education.

Religion and Education are closely associated with each other both are of spiritual tendencies. Spiritual, material or physical urge are dealt with by religion as well as by the education.

Vedas are the oldest books. Vedas are the repository of all knowledge. Here in religion has been described in its wider perspective.

The germ of casteism is cutting the roots of the Hindu society gradually. It has so compartmentalized this society into Brahmans, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras that the people of one caste don't mix up freely with the people of the other castes. Casteism is fully exploited during elections. Such a situation creates bitterness and tension.

National integration is unity in diversity. It means a feeling of oneness. It implies social, political, economic, linguistic and cultural unity.

It we wish to retain our hard won freedom, national integration has to be our natural tune. In this integration lie our strength, dignity and hope for future progress.

Education can make following contributions in the national and economic development:

According to sociologists national development is possible only if social changes take place along with economic changes and they go together.

Economic Development of a nation means increase in national income. Economic development is the backbone of the progress, freedom and prestige of a nation. Economic bankruptcy leads to social backwardness, political corruption and psychological imbalances.

The term National development is very comprehensive. It includes all aspects of the nation. It is dynamic and revolutionary development.

The family plays a very significant part in the individual's socialization because the child spends his early formative years in the home.
